625 inhabitants – 350m above sea level – 122ha. Finds from the early and middle stone age indicate that the region was settled quite early. In an official document, the village was mentioned for the first time in 1281. The fir tree in the emblem indicates affiliation to the Hauenstein County. The nails represent the nail smith industry from the village. Grunholz belongs to Laufenburg since 1971.
